American Heritage Invites Members and the Community to Take Part in The Spirit of Giving Food Drive

By: American Hertiage10.05.20

American Heritage Credit Union (“American Heritage”) invites credit union members and the community to help reach their goal of collecting 20,020 pounds of food in this year’s Spirit of Giving Food Drive. All nonperishable food donations will be given out to various food pantries and food banks throughout the community to help families in need this holiday season.

The donations will be collected from October 5th to November 20th at all 35+ American Heritage branch locations. Nonperishable goods such as soups, canned meat and vegetables, rice and pasta are at a higher demand this time of year due to holidays like Thanksgiving.

“Unfortunately, there’s a much larger need this year for food donations than in years prior,” stated Bruce K. Foulke, President & CEO of American Heritage. “The pandemic has affected so many in our community and within our own membership. On behalf of our Board of Directors and associates, I want our community to know that American Heritage is ready to step up and help. We know we can count on our associates, business partners and members to support our community food banks and organizations through the holiday season.”

Each American Heritage branch will collect goods for a food bank or organization that directly supports families in the area the branch is located. Some food banks and organizations that will receive food donations are Philabundance, Manna on Main, Quakertown Food Pantry, Food Bank of South Jersey, and many more.
