Philadelphia, PA – June 10, 2020 – American Heritage Credit Union (“American Heritage”) reopened its branch lobbies on Saturday, June 6, 2020, as Philadelphia, Bucks and Montgomery Counties, as well as New Jersey, eased multiple COVID-19 stay-at-home orders.

In adherence to state and CDC guidelines, American Heritage requires protective face coverings or medical masks for all members and associates at all times within a branch. New glass face shields and social distancing markers have also been installed inside branch lobbies, and branch occupancy may be monitored to prevent crowding. Increased sanitization and cleaning procedures will continue, and members who have recently been ill or had a fever are asked to refrain from entering the building. Coin counting machines have resumed operation, but shared branching is still temporarily suspended.

Members are encouraged to continue using online services and remote account access technologies, as well as the drive-thru, to limit contact with staff and other members. Where available, use of Personal Automated Teller (PAT®) Machines allow members to experience personalized two-way video interaction to conduct quick transactions without forgoing American Heritage’s signature member service. For other transactions, including IRA services, Certificates, account opening, and business services, American Heritage requests that members schedule an appointment.

“The American Heritage staff and I are excited to see our members coming through the branch doors once again,” states Bruce K. Foulke, American Heritage President & CEO.  “While our mission of serving local communities did not rest during the pandemic’s restrictive phases, resuming branch activity allows us to greet and serve our members face-to-face and help them accomplish their goals in a more personal way. We look forward to helping our membership navigate this unprecedented financial landscape as safely and conveniently as possible during the coming months.”
