The Kids-N-Hope Foundation Kicks Off Yearlong 25th Anniversary Celebration with 25 Miles in My Shoes Walk

By: American Heritage03.08.21

The Kids-N-Hope Foundation celebrates its 25th Anniversary in 2021 by kicking off its 25 Miles in My Shoes walk, where participants will fundraise and take part in a 7-day event to walk 25 miles at their own pace. This is the second 7-day virtual event, which starts April 11, 2021 and ends on April 17, 20201, allows The Foundation to continue supporting its beneficiaries throughout the COVID-19 Pandemic.

Participants can create a team, join a team, or fundraise as an individual to meet their personal goal and help The Foundation reach its $60,000 goal for this event. All proceeds will benefit the Kids-N-Hope Foundation and the programs it supports. The 25 miles represents 25 years of the Kids-N-Hope Foundation enhancing children’s health and life services through pediatric music therapy at local hospitals and not-for-profit organizations.

Participants are encouraged to share their 25-mile journey and story on social media and tagging the Kids-N-Hope Foundation. Participant pictures will be shared on The Foundation’s social media and website.

“We are excited to celebrate our 25th anniversary this year,” stated Bruce K. Foulke, Founder and Chairman of the Kids-N-Hope Foundation, and President & CEO of American Heritage Credit Union. “We recently reached a milestone of $2 million in total contributions since our founding. Although it seems like just yesterday that we started the Kids-N-Hope Foundation with a dream of helping local children through music therapy programs, we look forward to celebrating the achievements of our last 25 years and are looking forward to kicking off the next 25 with our ’25 Miles in My Shoes’ Event. We welcome the community and our partners to participate in this fun and healthy event.”

“Our community has always supported the Kids-N-Hope Foundation, even throughout the hardships of the last year,” stated Dorian Smith, Executive Director of the Kids-N-Hope Foundation. “We know our supporters will walk with us this spring to continue funding the amazing work our beneficiaries do each and every day for pediatric health and life services. We look forward to seeing everyone virtually taking part in this event.”
